Foundation Repair with Steel Push Piers

While there are several available methods, steel "push" piers are the most used and least invasive solutions.  These piers are driven ("pushed") into the ground with a hydraulic system, using the weight of your house as resistance.

What Should I Expect with a Push Pier Installation?

  1. Call Acculevel or request a free no-obligation quote online.
  2. An experienced representative will evaluate your home's foundation.  If you don't need repair, we won't try to convince you otherwise.
  3. If you choose to have repairs done, our office will schedule your installation date.
  4. Our crews show up on the date scheduled and begin repairs.
  5. At each pier location, they will dig a hole down to expose a portion of the foundation.
  6. Steel L-shaped brackets will be placed under the footing.
  7. Piers (also called piles) will be driven down to load-bearing soil or bedrock.
  8. The weight of your structure will be shifted from the instable soils to the piers.
  9. The crew will attempt maximum recovery of any wall-shifting. While it's typical for cracks to close, it's not guaranteed.  The goal is to stabilize the foundation; cosmetic issues are secondary to a stable foundation.
  10. The holes will be filled back in to cover the brackets/piers.
